Plantlife at Dinosaur Gulch |
We hiked out of dinosaur gulch and on back to Bill's Hill. Significant progress was made as we all go back to digging in our pits photo. Well, the afternoon is getting late and we pause to take a look at Bill's discovery, all carefully cleaned and exposed in the holephoto. Some kind of rib. Unfortunately, the ground rules were no keeping the promising looking stuff. Any thing good would be exavated and put on the market place. I think I heard many of the Japanese liked buying this stuff. |

Folks are starting to look at their watches. Although there is still digging time left, we decide to pack up because the airplane travelers want to get back over the Bighorn Mountains to Sheridan on account of they have an early flight to catch the next morning. We take a moment to reflect on the days activities as we stand on Bill's Hill and gaze westerly out over the vastness of the Bighorn Basin. Cloud billow out in the Basin Center where somewhere a storm brews. We drive out the way we came in but stop briefly for some snacks and refreshments at the Store in Shell. Bunch of dogs running around in there and we mind our hands getting too close to their snouts because one of them growled. Also the dogs did some unmentionable things that we can't talk about. |

Our little three-vehicle caravan points easterly for the ascent back up the Bighorns. There is a touch sadness in our hearts as we bid the Basin goodby and think about our trip back to the flatlands of Kansas and Missouri. |
